Onward runs in the browser and in native iOS/Android apps. Behavior is mostly the same; a few task workflows are simplified on small screens.
Mobile web (phone browser)
My Tasks
- List view only — board, calendar, and notes view toggles on My Tasks are not shown on mobile web (desktop keeps all view modes).
- The table emphasizes the title column; other columns may be hidden or compact compared to desktop.
- New tasks on mobile web often default due today so sorts by due date do not bury blank drafts at the bottom after the new-row pin clears.
Navigation
- Primary destinations use the bottom nav (Tasks, etc.) instead of the full desktop sidebar.
- Onward Guide still appears in the tasks experience but in a compact layout — expand it to read suggestions.
Drawers and dates
- Task details and comments use the same drawer pattern, optimized for touch.
- Due dates in the drawer may use the native date picker on mobile web instead of the desktop popover calendar.
Saved views
- Saved views, Columns, and bulk edit are desktop list controls. Filters and chips you already applied still work on a phone. See Saved views, filters, and columns and Bulk edit tasks.
Native apps
Install from the App Store / Google Play (links on keeponward.com when published for your platform).
- Sign in with the same account as app.keeponward.com.
- Core tasks, wellness, and settings mirror the web app; some admin or team surfaces may still be easier on desktop.
When to use desktop
- Multi-column task setup, Columns, saved views, bulk edit, board/calendar task views, and heavy project admin.
- Team Health admin tabs and Team Boosts logging (see Team Health).
Mobile navigation at a glance
The bottom bar has Tasks, Wellness, and More. The More sheet holds your workspace selector plus Welcome, All tasks, Projects, Team health, Settings, Manage workspaces, and Sign out. The header tools sheet is where the adaptive interface control and Energy check-in live on a phone.
Common questions
Is there a native Onward app?
Yes, for iOS and Android. Sign in with the same account you use at app.keeponward.com.
Why can't I see board or calendar view on my phone?
My Tasks stays in list view on mobile web. Board, calendar, and notes toggles are desktop-only.
Can I create a saved view on mobile?
The saved views menu, the Columns menu, and bulk edit are desktop features. Filters and chips you've already applied still work on mobile. Create and name views on desktop.
Where is Settings on mobile?
More → Settings, or search with the keyboard shortcut if you're on a tablet with a keyboard.
Why do new mobile tasks default to due today?
So blank drafts don't sink to the bottom of a due-date sort while you're still typing. Change the date in the drawer as needed.
