My Tasks can be shaped into whatever list you actually need — this week's overdue client work, everything unassigned on one project, tasks you've pushed more than twice — and then saved so you can get back to it in one click.
All of this is on desktop list view. Mobile web keeps a simplified list; see Mobile web and apps.
None of it changes task data. A view is a way of looking. Bulk edit is how you change many tasks at once.
Quick chips
Above the table, chips narrow the list in one click. Click again to turn a chip off.
| Chip | Shows |
|---|---|
| Today | Due today |
| Tomorrow | Due tomorrow |
| This Week | Due this week |
| Overdue | Past due and still open |
| Completed | Completed tasks (hidden from the default open list) |
| Assigned To | On My Tasks only. Tasks you created and assigned to other people |
A search shows as Search: “…”. The × on that chip clears the search.
Clear filters appears next to the view controls when any filter rule is active. Clear all filters appears when a filtered list has no rows. Clear inside the filter panel does the same job and is disabled when nothing is set.
The task calendar view keeps the Overdue chip. The date chips belong to the list.
Filters
Filter opens the Filters panel. A badge shows how many rules are active.
- Choose + Filter to add a rule. A new rule starts as Task contains.
- Pick the field, the operator, and the value.
- Choose + Group to nest rules. Groups can be two levels deep.
- Switch a group's AND / OR button. AND means every rule in the group must match. OR means any one of them.
- Use × on a rule or group to remove it.
- Done closes the panel. The list is already using the rules.
- Clear removes every rule. It is disabled when nothing is set.
Fields
Task, Due Date, Recurring, Date Created, Completed At, Status, Tags, Priority, Effort, Project, Assignees, Collaborators, Created by, Workspace.
Operators
Text fields (Task and similar): is, is not, contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, is empty, is not empty.
Dates: is, is not, is after, is on or after, is before, is on or before, is between, plus empty checks. Date values can be a specific day (Custom…) or a preset that stays current in a saved view: Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday, Start of week, End of week.
People, status, tags, project, priority, effort, and workspace: is any of and is none of.
Recurring: is recurring or is not recurring.
Filters stack with sorting and hidden columns.
Sorting
- Click a column header to sort by it.
- Click the same header again to reverse the direction.
- Click it a third time to remove that column from the sort.
- Shift+click another header to add a second sort — due date first, then priority within each day. A small order badge shows the stack.
Manual row order (the Reorder grip) is available when no sort is active. See Tasks and completion.
Columns
Open Columns (next to Views on desktop list view). The menu is labelled Columns and table style.
Table style
Table style is three icons: Grid view, Horizontal lines, and Vertical lines. This choice stays on this device.
Visible columns
Check a column to show it. Uncheck to hide it. Task cannot be hidden, and it always stays first. Drag the grip to reorder the rest. The menu says: drag to reorder; layout is saved on this device; Views can save order too.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Task | Title. Always visible, always first |
| Status | To do, in progress, completed, or a status you created |
| Due Date | Due day, or the recurrence label |
| Pushes | How many times a non-recurring due date has been pushed |
| Project | The project |
| Assignees | Who it's assigned to |
| Collaborators | People following the task who are not the assignee. Hidden until you show it |
| Priority | Low, Medium, High |
| Effort | Light, Moderate, Heavy |
| Notes | Whether the task has note chips |
| Visibility | Private, or shared with a workspace |
| Tags | Tags |
| Created by | Who created the task |
| Date Created | When it was created |
Drag the right edge of a header to resize. Column widths are per device. A width you set on a wide monitor stays on that monitor.
Which columns are visible, and their order, is part of a saved view — so it travels with the view and can be shared.
Rest mode also hides columns. If columns you expect are missing, check capacity before you check Columns.
Saved views
Views (the bookmark next to Columns) saves the setup you just built:
- Active filters
- Sort order, including a multi-column sort
- Hidden columns and column order
- Quick date and completion chips, and the Assigned To chip
Applying a view restores that snapshot. Clear view returns you to whatever you had before you applied it, so trying a view is never destructive.
Saved views don't change task data. They only change what's displayed and in what order. Deleting a view deletes nothing but the view.
Save, update, rename, delete
- Set the filters, sort, and columns you want.
- Open Views → Save current as view….
- Type a name in Name this view.
- Leave Share with workspace off for a personal view, or turn it on so teammates can apply it.
- Save.
Your views are listed under My views. Shared ones are under Shared with workspace. Search views… filters the list by name.
When you change filters or columns while a view is applied, the menu offers:
- Update “…” — writes the current setup back to that view. You can update your own views, and a shared view you own.
- Save as new view… — keeps the original and saves a copy.
A shared view you do not own shows: this shared view can't be edited; save your changes as a new view instead.
Rename with the pencil on the row, then Save. Delete with × on the row. Both are available for personal views and for shared views you own.
Personal vs shared
You can keep a view personal, or share it with the workspace so teammates can apply the same layout.
Shared views are most useful as a shared definition rather than a convenience. "Client escalations" or "Ready for review" meaning the same thing for everyone removes a whole class of ambiguity from standups — people stop describing their filters and start describing their work.
Views worth building
A few that tend to earn their place:
| View | Roughly |
|---|---|
| Today | Due today plus overdue, sorted by priority |
| Stalled | Open, high push count, sorted oldest first |
| Unassigned | No assignee, filtered to active projects |
| This client | Filtered to one project, minimal columns |
| Review queue | Status-based, shared with the workspace |
Common questions
Do saved views change my tasks?
No. A view is a display snapshot — filters, sort, and columns. Applying, clearing, or deleting one never modifies task data.
Can teammates edit a view I shared?
Teammates can apply it. Only the owner can update, rename, or delete a shared view. Anyone else saves a new view if they want a variation.
Why are my column widths different on another device?
Column widths and table style are stored per device. Which columns are visible, and their order, travel with the view.
Some of my columns disappeared.
Most likely you're in Rest mode, which hides most columns to reduce visual load. Switch to Ready, Flow, or Off in the header — see Adaptive interface. Then check Columns.
Can I sort by more than one column?
Yes. Click the first column header, then Shift+click the others.
How do I get back to the default list?
Clear view. You'll return to the state you were in before applying it. Clear in the filter panel removes filter rules without forgetting the view's other settings until you update the view.
