Onward Guide

The Guide panel on My Tasks — suggestions, capacity, and how it uses your context.

Onward Guide is the panel on My Tasks (right side on desktop) that suggests what to focus on and surfaces workload context. It is separate from Plan My Day in the sidebar — Plan is where you build today’s list; Guide reacts to your live task and wellness context.

Where to find it

  1. Open My Tasks.
  2. Look for Onward Guide on the right (desktop). You can collapse it; use Show Onward Guide to bring it back.

On smaller layouts, Guide may appear as a compact strip — expand it to see suggestions and details.

What it uses

  • Open tasks, due dates, overdue counts, and priorities
  • Energy / capacity when adaptive features are on
  • Optional mood and routine completion (morning/shutdown) when you use those features

Suggestions are optional — nothing is auto-assigned without your action.

Common questions

Does Onward Guide change my tasks automatically?

No. Suggestions are suggestions — nothing is assigned, rescheduled, or completed without your action.

What's the difference between Guide and Plan My Day?

Plan My Day is where you commit to an ordered list once, at the start of the day. Guide reacts continuously to your live task and wellness context while you work.

Can I hide the Guide panel?

Yes. Collapse it on My Tasks, and use Show Onward Guide to bring it back.

Does Guide use my wellness data?

It can use energy, capacity, mood, and routine completion when you've logged them. Reduce what it draws on via Settings → Privacy — see Privacy and your data.

Why isn't Guide suggesting anything useful?

It works from your open tasks, due dates, priorities, and whatever wellness context exists. With very few tasks or no check-ins, there's little for it to reason about.
