It's a foreign concept for some leaders, but one that brings a real sense of ease back into the workspace when adopted. We're all told to master the art of delegation, but when all is said and done, it simply boils down to trusting your team to handle their responsibilities—and letting them speak up when they need help.

Bite-sized knowledge

Rest is a strategy, not a reward.

We're conditioned to treat rest as the prize we get after everything is done (which is never). But human brains operate on 90-minute "Ultradian Rhythms." Pushing past this biological limit without a break doesn't make you faster; it decreases output and increases errors.

Give this a try

Before starting your next big task:

Set a timer for 90 minutes and, when it goes off, walk away from your desk for 5 minutes.
No. Matter. What.

Push Count on Tasks!

We all have those tasks that travel with us from day to day, always getting punted for "more important" items on our to-do lists. Our new Push Count tracker helps surface the number of times you've pushed a task to the next day.

Spot patterns and see which tasks have been pushed the most - just go to Your Wellness and scroll down to the bottom.

Rest. Your work will thank you.

Sign in to Onward and try our Focus feature—designed to help you drop into deep work, followed by some much-needed time away from your desk.
